This washed coffee comes from 34 small producers in the village of San Felipe in Jaén, Cajamarca, northern Peru. Grown at high elevations of around 2,000–2,250m, the slow ripening of the cherries helps develop a sweet, balanced and clean cup.
In the cup expect gentle apple-like brightness, a smooth biscuit sweetness, and a soft hazelnut finish.
Produced from a mix of Caturra, Pache and Typica varieties and carefully processed at farm level, this coffee reflects the high-altitude terroir of one of Peru’s most promising coffee regions.
