Finca La Hermosa sits high in the Acatenango valley, around 80km from Guatemala City, surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. The combination of altitude, rich volcanic soils and dramatic weather shifts creates coffees with striking balance and clarity.

Acatenango is one of only two protected denominations of origin in Guatemala, recognised for producing exceptional coffees. On the cupping table, lots from this region consistently stand out for their structure, complexity and distinctive character.

The farm is divided into thirteen productive plots and grows a wide range of traditional and sought-after varieties, including Pache, Typica, Caturra, Red, Yellow and Pink Bourbon, Catuai, Pacamara and Gesha. This particular lot showcases Gesha processed as a natural.

Quality begins at harvest. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, measured at 24–25° Brix. They are then dried slowly on raised beds with regular turning and careful ventilation, taking around 20–25 days. This meticulous process enhances fruit clarity while preserving elegance.

In the cup, expect vibrant apricot and spiced apple, layered with subtle IPA-like florals and a silky, grapeseed oil finish. A refined and expressive Gesha that reflects both the dedication of the growers and the remarkable conditions of Acatenango.
