Finca La Hermosa is located in the highlands of Acatenango, approximately 80km from Guatemala City and surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes. The altitude, mineral-rich soils and significant day-to-night temperature shifts create ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation and exceptional cup clarity.

Acatenango is one of only two protected denominations of origin in Guatemala, recognised for safeguarding some of the country’s most outstanding coffee-producing regions. Coffees from this area consistently stand out on the cupping table for their precision, elegance and layered complexity.

The farm is divided into thirteen productive plots and cultivates a broad range of varieties including Pache, Typica, Caturra, Bourbon, Catuai, Pacamara and Gesha. This lot is Ethiopia Gesha, carefully processed using the washed method to highlight clarity and structure.

Cherries are hand-picked at optimal ripeness, measuring 24–25° Brix. After pulping, the coffee undergoes controlled fermentation before being washed clean and dried slowly on raised beds with excellent airflow. This careful approach enhances floral aromatics and refined acidity.

In the cup, expect sparkling apple brightness, delicate hibiscus florals and elegant Darjeeling tea notes, rounded by a gentle caramel sweetness. A precise, refined Gesha that showcases both the terroir of Acatenango and the meticulous standards at Finca La Hermosa.
