Origin:

Nestled near the city of Carmo do Paranaiba in the illustrious Cerrado region, Fazenda Paraiso spans 170 hectares of prime coffee-growing terrain. Situated at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,150 meters above sea level, this picturesque farm provides the perfect environment for cultivating exceptional coffee beans. Under the expert guidance of producer Amarildo Jose Borges, this special extended fermentation lot was meticulously crafted to perfection.

Process:
To achieve the remarkable flavour profile of our Fazenda Paraiso Extended Fermentation Lot, the ripe cherries undergo a 72-hour fermentation process, followed by gentle sun-drying on cemented patios. This meticulous process ensures that each bean retains its distinctive characteristics, resulting in a coffee of unparalleled quality and flavour.

About the Region:

The Cerrado Mineiro region, where our coffee originates, boasts a rich history of coffee cultivation dating back to the 1970s. With its unique climate and soil conditions, this region has become synonymous with exceptional coffee production. Spanning 55 municipalities and encompassing approximately 210,000 hectares of coffee farms, Cerrado Mineiro earned the prestigious Denomination of Origin in 2013, cementing its reputation as a premier coffee-growing region.

Amarildo Josรฉ Borges, the visionary behind Fazenda Paraiso, shares his journey: "I started in the coffee world in 1985 when I planted my first seven hectares. Over the years, I went through financial difficulties, environmental challenges, among others, gained experiences, and overcame all adversities with my family. After enduring these difficult periods, I expanded my farm, invested in structure and quality. Today, my property yields high harvests and exceptional flavours."

At Goatherd Coffee, we take pride in curating the finest coffees from around the world, with each sip, you'll embark on a journey of flavour, guided by the dedication and passion of producer Amarildo Jose Borges and his family.
