Introducing what is potentially the first ever gin-infused coffee of its kind — a playful meeting of craftsmanship from land and sea. This release begins with a Moka Peaberry lot from Brazil, a naturally small and rounded bean prized for its smooth texture and layered sweetness. Expect a classic foundation of milk chocolate and roasted almond, lifted by a bright citrus duo of orange and grapefruit.
To create something truly distinctive, we’ve infused this lot with the coastal character of Beach Buoys Gin, produced by The Folkestone Distillery. Founded in 2019 by Peter Bracewell, who left the corporate grind to pursue his passion for vibrant, flavoursome spirits, the distillery is rooted in Folkestone’s dramatic Kent coast. Beach Buoys takes a modern approach to a historic industry — pairing cutting-edge distilling technology with a commitment to sustainability, including fully recyclable aluminium bottles. Their Coastal Dry and Coastal Aromatic gins capture the essence of beachside living, and now that same spirit infuses our coffee.
Over two weeks, the green coffee is sealed with open glasses of gin, refreshed and turned daily. Green coffee is hydroscopic — meaning it naturally absorbs the surrounding aromatics. The result is a subtle layer of citrus botanicals that accentuate the coffee’s natural vibrancy without overpowering its chocolate depth.
